The Library gives you online access to many Nursing and Healthcare books that you can use for your classes and research papers. This is a great way to start your research on a medical topic.

  • GALE eBooks - the best place for a basic overview of a physical or mental disease, explaining what it is, symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, etc. There are also descriptions of tests and procedures.
  • OVID Books - has a few basic starter books on anatomy & physiology, diseases, testing & nursing practice; and LPN guides, including for ECG & wound care.
  • STATRef! (TDS Health) - includes the newest Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses and Kaplan & Sadock's Synopsis of Psychiatry, plus a few other texts, evidence alerts, and medical tools.
  • R2Digital - contains mostly advanced and specialized nursing ebooks, best for upper-level classes (BSN & MSN).
  • Ebook Central (ProQuest) - has 150,000 books on all topics, including many medical titles.

The brief videos below show you how to search R2 Digital and ProQuest Ebook Central for eBooks.
