There are several databases that you can access on the Berkeley College Library page that will provide you with company financial data and reports: 

To use Business Insights to find financial information, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Library square in Engage.
  2. Click on the Database A-Z button
  3. A new window will open. This is the library's Databases list. 
  4. Select "B" from the alphabet and find “Business Insights".
  5. Click on the database name to open it in a new window.
  6. Enter your company name in the search bar and click “Search” or browse all companies. 
  7. When you find your company from the results list, scroll down the page to “Financials Performance.”  

  • Notice in the screenshot above the many features you can explore:
    • Balance Sheet
    • Cash Flow
    • Ratios
  • Click on hyprelinked "Full Statement" for comprehensive data which you can next download to an Excel file. 

To use Nexis Uni to find financial information, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Library square in Engage.
  2. Click on the Database A-Z button
  3. A new window will open.  This is the library's Databases list. 
  4. Select "N" from the alphabet and find “Nexis Uni".
  5. Click on the database name to open it in a new window.
  6. Click on the arrow next to Menu and Select "Company Dossier".
  7. Enter your company name. Let’s search for Macy’s. (Image 1)
  8. Go to the section called "Financial Overview”. Click on the topic you need. (Image 2) 

 

 

You can also find financial reports on the company’s website (under Investors or Investor Relations near the bottom); on the SEC's EDGAR database (see the 1st video below); or by doing a Google search for “Company Name 10K report” or “Company Name Financial Report Year”.  When finding reports on Google, make sure that the URL of the website is directly from the company’s website.
