Berkeley Library has upgraded from Lexis Nexis Academic database to Nexis Uni.

Published SWOT analyses can be found in the Business Insights, Nexis Uni, and ProQuest Central databases. These are subscription library databases and you must be logged with your Berkeley College username and password to access them.

To access our databases:

Click the A-Z Databases tile on the library homepage

Once on the database page, select the database you wish to view from the alphabetical list.

*NOTE* - A published SWOT analysis may be a good starting point for your company analysis, but DO NOT simply copy and paste from a published SWOT or SWOT graph/chart.  To do so would be plagiarism.  Your analysis should be supported by the source evidence for the points you are making!

To find a SWOT in Business Insights Essentials: From the main search page, go to Company Search, search for your company, and be sure to check the box: “only search companies with SWOT PDF”. Open the company profile and click where it says “Download SWOT”.

To find a SWOT in ProQuest Central: From the main search bar, type in the “Name of Your Company” and SWOT. Be sure to check the full-text box. Ex: Amazon and SWOT

To find a SWOT in Nexis Uni: From the home search page, click Advanced Search, then click "Select a specific content type" > "Company and Financial" > "Company Profiles". Scroll down the screen and enter the company name in the "Company Name" field. To limit to only SWOT reports, under the "Publication box" enter SWOT and search.
