Published SWOT analyzes can be found in the Business Insights, Nexis Uni, and ABI Inform databases. These are subscription library databases and you must be logged with your Berkeley College username and password to access them.

To access our databases:

Click the A-Z Databases tile on the library homepage

Once on the database page, select the database you wish to view from the alphabetical list. Or click on the "All Database Types" dropdown box and select "SWOT."

*NOTE* - A published SWOT analysis may be a good starting point for your company analysis, but DO NOT simply copy and paste from a published SWOT or SWOT graph/chart.  To do so would be plagiarism.  Your analysis should be supported by the source evidence for the points you are making!
Your odds of finding a published SWOT increase when you pick a large, well-known company to research.

To find a SWOT in ABI Inform: On the main search page type in the search box “Name of Your Company” and "SWOT." Be sure to check the full-text box. Ex: Amazon and SWOT

To find a SWOT in Business Insights: Search for the company and when the page opens, if the SWOT analysis is available, it will be in the center of the page. Click on the "Read Full SWOT Analysis" button to open the report.

To find a SWOT in Nexis Uni: From the home Guided Search select "Company Info," type the name of your company in "Search Company Information" and select "Company Profile." Next type "SWOT" in the "Search within Results."
