Q. How do I apply for my student ID?

All Berkeley College Student IDs are now Digital

Starting in March 2022 Berkeley College has transitioned fully to digital Berkeley College IDs. Now you can easily access your Berkeley College ID card anytime and anywhere through the ID card tile in Engage and the Berkeley App!

First go to Engage and log in.
Then click on the ID Card tile:

To upload your ID photo, click on the picture of Sir Knight (our Berkeley mascot) under “Personal Information":

Then click on Upload Photo, following the instructions for what type of photo to use. After it's uploaded and you're happy with it, click the Submit button.

SDCL will approve the photo and the ID will be ready in one business day. Once it's approved, you can display it on your phone whenever you need to show your college ID.

To display it, go to Engage or the Berkeley App and touch the ID Card tile. Tap the bottom ID image that says “Berkeley College Digital ID Card – Display your Berkeley College Digital ID Card”:

A new ID image will appear with your name, photo and student ID number replacing the Berkeley Knight.
