Statistics and data on the pharmaceutical industry can be found on the library's IBISWorld database. From the Library homepage, click on A-Z Databases. IBISWorld can be found under the subject Industry Reports or by clicking the letter I in the alphabet

You can use "Pharmaceutical" as a keyword via the search box within the database, and find reports on brand name and generic pharmaceutical manufacturing will be available for you to read through. Each report will contain statistics, charts, performance, trends of the industry, as well as a forecast on the growth of the industry in the future that can be navigated by tabs at the top of the report.  

 

You can also find information related to the industry via the U.S. Food and Drug Administration government website for additional statistics and data. Once at the link above:

1. Use the "Drugs" link featured on the top of the website.

2. Click on the "Resources for you" link.

3. Click on the "Information for Industry (Drugs)" link. This page contains several links

    leading to information and developments on drugs in particular.

Finally, you can also search the library's databases for scholarly articles which include statistics and data by searching for "pharmaceutical industry" and "statistics": Proquest Health & Medical Collection database.
