Published SWOT analyses can be found in Business Insights Essentials, Lexis Nexis Academic, and ProQuest Central. These are subscription library databases and you must be logged into Blackboard to access them. To access our databases:

Click the Library tab in Blackboard – click the “research/explore” dropdown menu – select “databases” – click “A-Z List” – Select the database you wish to view from the alphabetical list.

*NOTE* - A published SWOT analysis may be a good starting point for your company analysis, but DO NOT simply copy and paste from a published SWOT or SWOT graph/chart.  To do so would be plagiarism.  Your analysis should be supported by the source evidence for the points you are making!

To find a SWOT in Business Insights Essentials: From the main search page, go to Company Search, search for your company, and be sure to check the box: “only search companies with SWOT PDF”. Open the company profile and click where it says “Download SWOT”.

To find a SWOT in ProQuest Central: From the main search bar, type in the “Name of Your Company” and SWOT. Be sure to check the full-text box. Ex: Amazon and SWOT

To find a SWOT in Lexis Nexis Academic: From the home search page, go to Combined Search, type in the name of your company and SWOT, check only the box for Company Profiles and click Go.
