Many library databases include the citation tool. Please check this document where to find the citation tool in various databases.

A sample citation of an article from an electronic database in MLA style can be found in the the MLA pamphlet from the 'Writing and Citing LibGuide - MLA Style and Formatting' (which is copied below):

Morgan, Kathryn, and Brent L. Smith. “Victims, Punishment, and Parole: The Effect of Victim Participation On Parole Hearings.” Criminology & Public Policy, vol. 4, no. 2, 2005, pp.333-60. ProQuest, http://search.proquest.com. ezproxy.library.berkeley.org/docview/200124630?accountid=38129.

Note: this article was found in the ProQuest database, so ProQuest is shown as the larger "container".
