Statistics and data on the pharmaceutical industry can be found on the library's IBISWorld database. From the Library homepage, click on Databases. IBISWorld can be found under the subject Industry Reports.
You can use "Pharmaceutical" as a keyword via the search box within the database, and two reports on brand name and generic pharmaceutical manufacturing are available for you to read through. Each report will contain statistics, charts, performance, trends of the industry, as well as a forecast on the growth of the industry in the future.
You can also find information related to the industry via the U.S. Food and Drug Administration government website for additional statistics and data. Once there:
1. Use the "Drugs" link featured on the top of the website.
2. Click on the "Resources for you" link.
3. Click on the "Information for Industry (Drugs)" link. This page contains several links
leading to information and developments on drugs in particular.
