Students taking 6 credits or less during the spring semester are eligible to walk

Student taking 7 credits or more during the spring semester are ineligible to walk and will need to speak with their academic advisor for eligibility and possible submission of petition, if they would like to participate in this year’s Commencement.

Berkeley College has historically provided exceptions for students with more than the allotted credit exception (7 or more credits needed to complete degree requirements) due to out-of-state employment, critical illness, or military deployment when accompanied by supporting documentation.

Turn-around time for the petition is approximately 2 weeks, but could take longer. Decisions will be sent to the student's Berkeley email address.
