Hyperlinked text describes what the link directs to, but does not automatically show the URL (website address).

To extract the URL from the hyperlinked text:

1. Right click on the hyperlinked text.

2. From the right-click menu, choose a "copy link" option. The wording will be different depending on the application you are using. Some examples:

  • Chrome: "Copy link address"
  • Firefox: "Copy Link Location"
  • Microsoft Edge: "Copy link"
  • Internet Explorer: "Copy shortcut"
  • Safari: "Copy Link"
  • Microsoft Word: "Copy Hyperlink"

3. Paste the copied address into your web browser's address bar. Press Enter to go to the web address.
